TS LAWCET/TS PGECET 2016 Eligibility Criteria

a) The candidates should be Indian Nationals and should satisfy local/non-local status requirements laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations of Admission) Order, 1974 as amended up to date (as per G.O. Ms. No. 26, dt: 24.03.2004 and its amendments). b) The candidates other than Indian Nationals should satisfy the rules of the Universities concerned. c) The candidates seeking admission in to

LLB 3 Year Course: The candidate should have passed Degree Examination of minimum three years duration(10+2+3 pattern)of a recognized University with at least 45% marks of aggregate marks (40% marks in case of SC/ST categories) in the qualifying examination. If any candidate secured less than 45% in graduation, he should have passed any additional graduation or Post Graduation with 45% marks.

LL.B 5 year course: The candidate should have passed two year Intermediate Examination(10+2 pattern) with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of SC/ST categories) in the qualifying examination or any other examination recognised as equivalent to Intermediate by the University,Board of Intermediate T.S and Bar Council of India.

Age on admission: Subject to the conditions stipulated by the Govt. of T .S and BCI., in this behalf, the maximum age limit for a candidate seeking admission into the 3 year and 5 year LL.B. Course shall be Thirty Years (relaxable by five years in case of SCs/STs) and twenty years (relaxable by two years in case of SCs/STs) respectively as on 31st December of the year of seeking admission.

Note 1: Age limits mentioned above are under challenge in Hon’ble High court of A.P and Supreme Court in W.P.No.6691/09, 7610/09 and transfer petition (civil) nos 857-866 of 2009 in Supreme Court. Interim directions are awarded by the court relaxing the age limits. Admissions into the law courses shall be subject to the outcome of the pending cases

Note 2: Mere appearance in T S LAWCET will not give any right of admission. The candidate should satisfy all the eligibility criteria and should satisfy rules governing admission as are applicable.

LL.M Course : Candidates holding LL.B./B.L. 3 / 5 y e a r degree on the date of application and candidates who have appeared/appearing for LL.B./B.L. Final year examination are also eligible.The Candidates seeking admission into LL.M. (Private Appearance) of Osmania University, Hyderabad shall have a minimum experience of 3-years as a Judicial officer or 3-years standing as an advocate on the date of appearing for TSPGLCET-2016.

The candidates who are appearing for the final year LL.B 3/5 Year degree examination shall also be eligible to appear for TSPGLCET-2016. However he should pass at the time of counseling

TSLAWCET/TSPGLCET 2016 Qualifying marks

d) Qualifying marks in TSLAWCET-2016 is 35%( i.e 42 marks out of total 120 marks) and no minimum marks are prescribed for SC/ST candidates and Qualifying marks in TSPGLCET-2016 is 25%( i.e 30 marks out of total 120 marks) and no minimum marks are prescribed for SC/ST candidates.A candidate appearing for LLB/BL 3/5 year degree examinations may take the TSPGLCET in anticipation of results. However he should pass at the time of counseling Note: Mere appearance in T S L A W C E T / T S PGLCET will not give any right of admission. The candidate should satisfy all the eligibility criteria and should satisfy rules governing admission as are applicable.

d) Admission into any college depends on its Recognition/Affiliation by the Statutory Bodies.
